“ I had this spot saved for the next time I planned on staying at St. Augustine, and over the weekend I finally got the chance to go for a Tuesday brunch. Right off the bat, the service was friendly and welcoming. The vibes inside and out are coastal and low-key. I ordered the Maine Lobster Roll, Fried Shrimp Tacos, and Conch Fritters. The gentleman taking our order convinced me to go Overstuffed and to get it Cold. I HIGHLY encourage you to do the same! The lobster meat and claw was succulent, firm, and plump tossed in just the right amount of mayo. This all complimented the toasted butter roll that it was wedged in... The fries were perfectly crisp and seasoned... Even the coleslaw was fresh & tangy! The shrimp on the tacos were a good size, and paired super well with the hot sauces they had. Sadly, the mains were so good that the fritters became forgettable. But this did not detract from the experience at all. I am definitely coming back next time, but it's a shame I have to travel so far for such phenomenal food!! ”
“ Fresh and delicious seafood options. Have been to the Key West location a few years ago. Will be back for more. Recommend the chowders if you like soups. Lobster Roll was excellent. ”
“ Clam chowder fries are delicious! The lobster roll is fresh buttery perfection. Portions are great. We always love bringing family and friends here. Pro tip: ask for no added salt to the fries, the chowder is seasoned well. ”
“ We stopped by DJ’S Clam Shack for clam chowder. I ended up getting clam chowder and a lobster roll. The food was absolutely amazing. The environment was small indoor area nice outdoor area. The clam chowder may be the best I’ve ever had. Really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere I’ll definitely go back. Matt ”
“ Heard this place had great lobster rolls and I have to say they didn’t disappoint. Guy at the counter was very helpful and answered questions my husband and friends had. The atmosphere was relaxing plenty of shade for our hot summer days that are coming. We will definitely be back ”
“ Browsing for some new restaurants around St. Augustine that we hadn’t tried yet and DJ’s Clam Shack came up in the process. I checked out the photos and everything looked really good so we stopped in while in town. Came at around 7 PM on a Friday and they were a little busy. The whole outdoor patio was full but there was barely anyone inside. The lady at the counter was friendly. I got the special clam chowder fries. Overall, I was blown away! The fries were crispy and hot and the chowder had some great flavor! All around, I was impressed! Overall, a great experience at DJ’s. If you’re in St. Augustine, it’s worth a stop! I’ll be back. ”
“ Went on Saturday around 6pm and there was a small line inside, plenty of people outside enjoying the live music and we were glad to find the upstairs had a more quiet, and nice atmosphere. At the cashier’s you put in your order and find a table, wait for the alarm (our order took FIVE minutes!) and then I picked up my tray downstairs with: Two main lobster rolls, one order of fries and one shrimp roll. I am so happy I tried this place and it did not disappoint me at all. The hot roll was beautifully toasted. They serve you the butter on the side, so I quickly poured it on top of my whole lobster roll, which was delicious. ”
“ We were on the Hop on Hop off tour. Stopped at the stop sign and the driver suggested this place. Said the owner imported his lobster from Maine. Well let’s just say that THIS is a fact. The food was delicious. The clam chowder was superb. Definitely go back for sure. Great atmosphere with live music. We sat upstairs. Outside seating is nice to listen to the music. What a great place. ”
